1846 Gothic Revival style house that was the former summer home of Henry Chandler Bowen and family; Large Fourth of July celebrations were held here in the 1870s and attended by US presidents and other famous people; Today the ornate gardens and furnished interior are a historical landmark. "The estate includes an icehouse, aviary, carriage barn, and the nation's oldest surviving indoor bowling alley." There is a Arts and Crafts show each year in mid-October at the house.
