A scenic natural river gorge located in the Kinsman Notch of the White Mountains; The main path is a one mile walk with a very long boardwalk that descends into and runs through the gorge with over 1000 stairs; In the gorge there are boulder caves and a waterfall; At night on certain days there is a Guided Lantern Tour (reservations required); There are also a couple free trails and a difficult cliff hike; Lost River Gorge is fun for children and adults; Visitors should wear comfortable shoes, and if they choose to enter the caves, be prepared to crawl on their hands and knees.
